01Who we are
Mastodon Capitals (“we”, “us”) is a private wealth advisory firm based in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain. We are the data manager (controller) responsible for personal data collected through this website and in the course of our client relationships. We respect your privacy and handle personal data in accordance with applicable law, including the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 30 of 2018).
02Personal data we collect
We may collect the following categories of personal data:
- Identity and contact data – name, email address, telephone number, and any details you provide when you contact us.
- Enquiry data – the content of messages and your area of interest.
- Client data – where you become a client, information required for onboarding, such as identification documents, financial information, source of wealth and family or business structures.
- Technical data – IP address, browser type and device information processed automatically when you visit the website, including by third-party services described in our Cookie Policy.
03How we collect it
We collect personal data when you contact us by email, telephone, WhatsApp or through the enquiry form; when you meet with us; when you or your advisers provide information during onboarding and the delivery of our services; and automatically when you browse the website.
04How we use your personal data
We use personal data to:
- respond to your enquiries and arrange meetings;
- assess and onboard prospective clients, including know-your-customer, anti-money laundering and sanctions checks;
- provide and manage our advisory services;
- comply with our legal and regulatory obligations;
- maintain the security and proper functioning of our website; and
- send you information you have asked to receive.
We process personal data on the basis of your consent, to take steps at your request before entering into an agreement, to perform an agreement with you, to comply with legal obligations, or for our legitimate interests where these are not overridden by your rights.
05Sharing your personal data
We treat personal data as confidential. We do not sell personal data. We may share it, where necessary, with:
- your other professional advisers, where you have asked us to work alongside them;
- banks, custodians, product providers and other counterparties involved in services you request;
- professional advisers, auditors and service providers who support our business, under appropriate confidentiality obligations;

06International transfers
Because our work involves counterparties in multiple jurisdictions, personal data may be transferred outside the Kingdom of Bahrain. Where this happens, we take steps to ensure the transfer is permitted by applicable law and that your data receives an appropriate level of protection.
07Data security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. However, no transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we encourage you not to send sensitive information through the website or by unencrypted email.
08How long we keep data
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to meet legal, regulatory, accounting and record-keeping requirements. Enquiry data that does not lead to a client relationship is deleted when no longer needed.
09Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:
- be informed about and access the personal data we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate data;
- request deletion or blocking of data;
